IGIS has carried Resistivity scanning in a residential complex area in Sainikpuri colony of Hyderabad, where a well drilled up to a depth of 40m has already failed. The results of the investigations are given in Fig.1a. It is clear that there are no water-bearing zones at the existing failed well. Based on the results fractured zone was inferred just 3 m away from the failed bore well and a well drilled here was successful with a yield of 2,000 lph. 

The scanning results in an agricultural farm near Hyderabad are shown in Fig.1b. The two-dimensional structure of the water-bearing zone can be easily identified. A bore well recommended at location marked ‘R’ yielded 8000 lph.
