The IGIS instruments incorporate several innovative features as well as recent advances in digital technology. IGIS has secured the "BEST INVENTION AWARD" in All India Industrial Exhibition, Hyderabad, during the years 1983, 1988, 1989. In recognition of IGIS services in the field of hydrogeolocal investigations, the Govt. of Karnataka has appointed the Managing Director of IGIS, Dr. K.R. Ramanuja Chary as an expert member of Karnataka Water Technology Mission.
